-  Benign porstatic hyperplasia, or as more commonly known bph is the medical definition for an enlarged prostate gland. This happens as the man ages and The first period of growth happens during the puberty stage of growth and around the late twenties the prostate starts to grow again. This is the period of growth when bph can develop.


My people including myself, actually feel uncomfortable talking about the prostate. I think this stems from its role in urination and also sex. It’s good to remind men that the problem of  the enlarged prostate is as common place as aging.

The symptoms of BPH (Benign porstatic hyperplasia) vary from more trips to the bathroom during night time or urgency to urinate but just dribbling. It is a result of the blockage of the urethra.  Sometimes a man may not be aware of the obstruction until he cannot urinate at all.

The important lesson in this article and if you only take this point along with you, is that you must make an appointment with your doctor if you have been or start to suffer with the problems listed. In most cases it will probably turn out to be the bph symptoms, but if it is something more serious such as prostate cancer, then it needs to treated urgently.
